    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.deltafrost.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1224" rel="nofollow">frogafone</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> Half Fast Banjo and Chord Harmonica tomorrow<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> February 04 2012 at 1:23pm<br /><br />well, not everyone had a miserable time...<br>&nbsp;actually most of the crowd had a great time as the picture below taken by a cell phone shows.<br><br>and I have a confession to make...<br>. the 40 people (80%) out of the 50ish present who came to "SEE ME"&nbsp; I guess , altho factual , <br>came off like I was bragging that I am somehow a local idol<br><br>not the case at all... they are all,,, yes Eric,, HILLBILLIES with cow chip residues on the their shoes..<br><br><br>they are also all related to me.... <br><br>in the pic below... the wild child 3rd to the right is one of my daughters..Angie&nbsp; the 2nd to right is her sister in law Addie... and so on<br>one of my other&nbsp; daughters was there with her new beau..,<br>, and my son had flown in from London with his fiancee'...<br>it was heart warming to have all of them with their significant others, brothers, sisters., cousins and in-laws and such turn out to see the old man come out of retirement...<br>&nbsp;which IS essentially,, what I was attempting,, after 25 years away from any real attempt to play music for compensation<br>I walked in an hour late with my gear,, and there was a small gathering outside to help me carry it in,, <br>and I was SO surprised to see the efforts my kids had gone to to ensure I had an audience <br><br>which is why I was DOUBLY pizzed when those two self deluded StratoStars turned it into a train wreck as if it was a crowd that God provided for their personal gratification and exhibistionistic&nbsp; posing and preening ...<br>and that godawful whining Neil Young crap and screaming endless 8 octave&nbsp; torturing of pentatonic scales <br><br>but the Kids enjoyed themselves.. as seen below..<br>. It is just that the music shamed and embarrassed,me , Neil... That's how I taught myself to gap for my style of playing. There are obviously a lot of different angles to tackle the task of improving harp performance, and you'll also notice that everyone has their own special methods. If you care to hear them,&nbsp;there are&nbsp;at least two different explanations on this forum and thousands of others on the subject of achieving improved harp response, and maybe you can use that info to help formulate your own unique approach.<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Let me know if this is too much to absorb at once. I can hold off on further describing my process of customization if need be. I also hope that Walter and any other DIY'ers would give&nbsp;their two cents and I'd encourage you to take all perspectives into consideration.</DIV>]]>
