I don't think that was Muddy in the Youtube that was posted earlier. The voice sounds like Wilson Picket to me.

Music is music to me. If I like it, I like it - could care less what genre it fits into. There was a lot of good disco music made. I'm a little younger than PhilaFroggy Bassman, so rather than being up on the bandstand playing disco, I was probably chasing young girls around a skating rink somewhere listening to disco.

Ostinato ... new term for me, but I get it. Here's a hamronica example I like to do ...
 
Play a repeating riff all the way through the I-chord, and stay on the riff right through the IV-chord. Its a really interesting sound when the band changes underneath you but you keep hanging right on that same riff.
