geeze guys, thanks for the good wishes! i've decided that from now on, every bday i'm takin a few years OFF my age. that makes me in my upper 40's now.

tc that's good to know. weather permitting!! it's still on. we have several inches of snow on the ground and the chance of more to come late in the week. i don't recommend anyone take many chances with frozen roads and inept drivers no matter who's coming to town. and i have to keep in close touch with adam on this also. he may have to cancel if the weather turns ugly-er.

ah, parrot beach cafe...... it's a lil joint way up on the edge of north little rock. the owner and i are pretty good friends and she has come through with her place for a few things for me over the years. a katrina benefit, the harp clinic, and a haiti benefit on the 27th of this month. Jolene and i and a couple other bands have gigged there, and Jo and i did a happy hour thing for several months a few years ago. vanessa also has a big jam there every thursday. it's a lively joint a few nights a week. vanessa's daughter had a really bad car wreck about a year ago and vanessa had to cut back the hours she could be open so she could care for her daughter, but things are improving now and she's managing to open more lately. she's also opened her doors to several other benefits for folks over the years, and we helped out with a benefit for her daughter last year. the medical bills are of course huge.

the bday gig was sort of a bust. we went in and set up and did a set- to an empty room. took a break, and the place got colder and colder. found out the furnace was broken! and the cook had shut down the grill in the kitchen, which was doubling as the heat for the place. we couldn't sit and shiver and play well so we pulled the plug. home by like 9:30. but i think we'll book back there once the guy gets his heat fixed, or wait until spring.

	If I got the info correct - it is J Bones birthday today!!!!!!! I like the fact that he is gaining on me!!!! Age wise - not even close ,weight wise!!!! I'm way out in front!!!!! But he is getting old!!!!
