Unless I get another reservation on a dew-covered cabin porch, or in the back of a reburbished horse trailer, this will likely be my campsite again this year. Only, I will pay closer attention to weather reports. Be advised, that area turns into a river when it rains 400 inches in 2 hours (which I think is an accurate representation of the downpour at last year's Bean).

Harpo,  are you going to tent camp or are you bringing a camping trailer of some kind? Trailer sites are by reservation and primitive sites are first come first served, I think.  I saw some folks that had reserved a trailer site to put the tent on so they would have power and water.

sounds like a lifestyle to me Mike... man does not need the other stuff, less he is totin his ball & chain along... its them that wants all those civilization doo-dads.

Me... I need a blanket,, a harp and a tarp... put the harp in my mouth , the blanket around my skinnys elf , roll up in the tarp and serenade the stars until morpheus reigns over me ...

oh, and someone to come by in the morning and help me old bones to my feet again

Bring the ball and chain, we had a pretty good rainstorm once, the extra ballast helps keep the tent on your site!

I tent camp up in the RV so I have water and power ,  and dry where I was it is worth the money when your wet get in the tent and turn on the heater but whatever it is all worth just to be at the Bean , it was the high point for me last year.

Harpo bring all that, plus 50 bucks. That's the flat rate for primitive sleeping on-site and using their facilities. Tickets for the actual event are sold separately and vary based on desired content. Also, don't arrive at midnight early Friday morning. It's hard as heck to find out where you are in this place you've never been, searching for people you've never seen in real life. (Lucky for me, Rick Beets can spot my hair from a mile away in a dark field filled with speeding golf carts and the sounds of harps and ukes at every turn)! Thanks for guiding my wayward soul, Rick.
